- Lexan ® (from the manufacturer Sabic ®).
- Makrofol ® (from the manufacturer Covestro ®).
The crystal clear glossy and colourless polycarbonate films impress with their optical properties and are almost invisible when viewed through. This makes them the ideal solution for a wide range of industrial and graphic applications.
We offer the highly transparent and translucent films in thicknesses from 125 µm to 500 µm as roll goods. The roll length varies depending on the thickness. We are happy to cut the rolls into rectangular sheets in your format. Just tell us the format you need and we will send you an offer with an attractive price. We deliver all stocked products within a few working days. The product is professionally and securely packed for delivery.
We are happy to advise you during the planning of your project and send you technical data sheets or samples for the construction of initial prototypes.
Characteristics of clear glossy polycarbonate films
Polycarbonate (PC) is a high-quality plastic that is characterised by various properties:
- high optical transparency.
- mechanical strength and impact resistance.
- temperature resistance from - 40 °C to 130 °C (continuous use temperature of 105 °C).
- high dimensional stability.
- good dielectric and insulating properties.
The crystal clear polycarbonate films have a polished surface with a protective film on both sides. This protects the high-quality film from scratches during transport and processing.
Applications of polished polycarbonate films
Our glossy polycarbonate films are easy to process and are suitable for various uses such as:
- Front panels.
- Membrane keypads.
- High quality labels and overlays.
- Various switches.
- Keypads.
- Operating elements.
- Type plates for machines.
- Interior parts for automobiles.
- Insulation of power supplies and batteries .
- Printed circuit boards.
- EMI shielding.
- Medical packaging (FDA).
- Finished parts with food contact (FDA).Frontblenden.
Processing
Our clear polycarbonate films are characterised by good and consistent printability. Furthermore, our films can be cut, punched, lasered (with restrictions), embossed and glued. Polycarbonate films are also suitable for deep drawing and back injection and the insert moulding process (FIM) as well as high pressure forming (HPF). The films we offer can be cold and hot formed.
No special accessories or tools are required for processing polycarbonate films.
