A cementable type with an invisible surface coating is available for bonding to one or both sides with adhesives. Thermal stability of Teflon™ films

Teflon™ PFA film is chemically inert and solvent-resistant to virtually all chemicals However, molten alkali metals, gaseous fluorine and certain complex halogenated compounds such as chlorine trifluoride can affect the surface at high temperatures and pressures. It also has low permeability to liquids, gases, acetic acid, moisture, and organic vapors.

Teflon™ films excel by superior electrical properties over large areas. They have a high dielectric strength, over 260 kV/mm for a 0.025-mm film and no electric tracking. Teflon™ films are non-wettable and non-charring and have a very low power factor and dielectric constant.
