Makrofol® DE 6-2 000000 is a translucent film based on Makrolon®, the Hightech polycarbonate (PC) made by Covestro. The dazzle free and scratch resistant film has been developed especially for graphic applications and comprises an unique surface combination fine velvet-very fine matte. Makrofol® DE 6-2 000000 is available in various standard thicknesses from 125 - 500 µm and can be offered in rolls or sheets. Typical applications of this polycarbonate film are instrument panels, displays, control panels, nameplates, dials, scales, LCD displays and automotive interior decoration.

The surface combination of Makrofol® DE 1-4 000000 is one side gloss - one side very fine matte. The PC film stands out due to its good printing quality and formability. It is suitable for High Pressure Forming process (HPF) and Film-Insert-Molding process (FIM). Matt polycarbonate films

Matt PC films offer the great advantage of an anti-reflective and scratch-resistant surface. Unwanted reflections in interior applications do not occur with matt polycarbonate films in comparison to polished films. Scratch protection is important in all applications where people frequently touch and handle the film element, such as keyboard elements.
The colourless polycarbonate films are available in various surface structures. The palette ranges from a fine matt surface to velvet matt films to a coarsely structured sand grain surface. An interesting feature is the unique brushed structure of the Lexan 8A37 film, which allows for unique and enormously noble surfaces. In addition, we offer our PC films with matt finish on one or both sides. One-sided matt films offer the advantage that the reverse side is polished and can be printed particularly homogeneously. When inversely printed, the print is protected by the film and therefore cannot be scratched off.

How do I process PC films?
Matt polycarbonate films can be printed well and consistently. Printing is possible by screen printing, printing with UV-curable inks and other printing methods. They can be cut, punched, lasered (with limitations), embossed and glued. Our polycarbonate films are also suitable for back injection, thermoforming, the insert moulding process (FIM) and high pressure forming (HPF). All PC films we offer can be cold and hot formed.
