Melinex® 506 with a thickness of 0,1 mm is a sparkling optically clear knurled film with an adhesion promoting pretreatment on both surfaces. It is normally used in the graphics industry where its excellent clarity and printing/coating adhesion are utilised. Melinex® 506 is available in the thicknesses between 100 µm - 175 µm and is offered in rolls or sheets.

Melinex® films are high quality and flexible biaxially oriented polyester films (polyethylene terephthalate) with excellent chemical, electric and thermic propoerties that can be used for various industrial and electronic applications. BoPET (biaxially-oriented polyester films) are polyester films made from stretched polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and are used because of their high tensile strength, chemical and dimensional stability, transparency, reflectivity, gas and aroma barrier properties as well as their electrical insulation characteristics.
