APTIV® films are made from VICTREX® PEEK polymer. These high-performance films offer a unique combination of properties such as high temperature resistance, mechanical strength, durability, chemical resistance, electrical insulation, abrasion and wear resistance, and low moisture absorption in a versatile film format.

APTIV® 1000 films are available in various thicknesses and formats. They are already being used in numerous demanding applications in a wide range of sectors and markets, such as electronics, acoustics, aerospace, automotive, industry, oil and gas, and the chemical industry.

The particularly high continuous service temperature is worth highlighting. The film can be used at temperatures of up to 300 °C for short periods. The melting point of the films is 343 °C. In addition, Aptiv 1000 films have particularly high chemical resistance. They are resistant to most conventional solvents and have excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, oxidising substances, hydrocarbons, salts and water vapour. They offer better chemical resistance than many precious metals.

APTIV® films can be post-processed using the following processes:
- Plasma surface activation for better compatibility with adhesives, lacquers, paints, etc.
- Metallisation via metal deposition or lamination processes
- Deep drawing
- Hot lamination (adhesive-free) to other materials (e.g. metals)
