Scratch-resistant polycarbonate films

The König Film Centre has been active in the field of technical films for many years. We are one of Europe's leading suppliers in this product area and offer you an extensive range of polycarbonate films, PMMA films and polyester films.

Part of our product range are special films with special properties. These include scratch-resistant polycarbonate films of the Lexan ® brand (from the manufacturer Sabic ®) for ideal scratch protection.

These crystal-clear, glossy and colourless polycarbonate films impress with their optical properties and are almost invisible when viewed through. This makes them the ideal solution for a wide range of industrial and graphic applications.

Due to a special coating, the film has a surface that is very scratch-resistant and resistant to chemicals and cleaning agents. The appearance of the film does not change due to this invisible coating.

The other side of the film is - like all conventional polycarbonate films - untreated and therefore ideal for printing.

König Film Centre offers you the scratch-resistant film Lexan HP 92 S in thicknesses from 175 µm to 750 µm as rols. The roll length varies depending on the thickness. We will be happy to cut the rolls for you into rectangular sheets in the desired size. Tell us the format you need and we will send you an offer at an attractive price. We deliver all products in stock within a few working days. The material is professionally and securely packed for a safe delivery.

We will be happy to advise you during the initiation and planning of your project and send you data sheets, safety data sheets and samples for the construction of initial prototypes.

Properties of scratch-resistant polycarbonate films

Scratch-resistant polycarbonate films combine the advantages of classic PC films with excellent scratch protection. This means that finished parts made of this film are scratch-resistant and therefore particularly durable and long-lasting. The films are also particularly resistant to chemicals and can be cleaned even with aggressive cleaning agents.

They also have the following properties:

  • high optical transparency.
  • mechanical strength and impact resistance.
  • resistance to temperatures from - 40 °C to 130 °C (continuous use temperature of 105 °C).
  • high dimensional stability.
  • good dielectric and insulating properties.

The scratch-resistant polycarbonate films have a polished, high-gloss surface with a protective film on both sides. This gives the high-quality film protection against scratches during transport, installation and processing.

Application areas

The applications of scratch-resistant polycarbonate films are similar to those of conventional PC films. They are particularly suitable when the films are exposed to greater mechanical contact or come into contact with aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals.

Processing

Our polycarbonate films with increased scratch resistance are characterised by good and consistent printability on one side. Furthermore, our films can be cut, punched, lasered (with restrictions), embossed and glued. In contrast to classic polycarbonate films, scratch-resistant films cannot be deformed three-dimensionally, but only two-dimensionally.

No special accessories or tools are required to process the film.
